How the AI features work together
Readers ask questions
Readers ask the AI assistant questions in their own words. The assistant answers from your published docs.
PinkDocs records what it couldn't answer
Questions the assistant couldn't answer appear in the AI report and the Content gaps report.
You fill the gaps
Write or update docs to cover those questions, either yourself or with help from AI tools connected through MCP.
The assistant improves
As soon as you publish, the assistant can use the new doc to answer the same question next time.
Get started with AI
Connect an AI provider
Add your AI provider's API key in PinkDocs settings. See Connecting an AI provider.
Turn on the AI assistant
Enable the chat for your help centre. See Setting up the AI assistant chat.
Review the AI report weekly
Check which questions the assistant couldn't answer and update your docs.
