Changing the docs URL and permalinks
By default, your help centre lives at yoursite.com/docs/ and each doc gets a URL based on its title. Change the base URL to match your site, such as /help/ or /support/, and set clean URLs for individual docs.
How PinkDocs URLs work
Change the docs base URL
Open the general settings
Go to PinkDocs → Settings and open the General tab.

Enter a new slug
In Docs slug, enter the new base, such as help. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only.
Save your settings
Click Save Changes.
Refresh your permalinks
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes without changing anything. This makes WordPress recognise the new URLs.
Redirect old URLs
Use a redirect plugin, such as Redirection, to send readers from old URLs to new ones. Add a rule that redirects the old base to the new one:
Change a single doc's URL
Open the doc
Open the doc in the editor.
Edit the slug
In the Settings sidebar, click the doc's Link and edit the Slug. Keep it short and descriptive, such as change-docs-url.

Update the doc
Click Update. WordPress redirects the old doc URL automatically in most cases.
Common questions
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes to refresh WordPress's URL rules.
No. Choose a docs slug that no other page or post on your site uses, or the two will conflict.
