Once your first doc is published, make your help centre easy to find by linking to it from your site's navigation. Your help centre lives at yoursite.com/docs/ unless you've changed the docs URL.
Add a menu link
Follow the steps for your type of theme.
Use these steps if your theme is a block theme, such as Twenty Twenty-Four or Twenty Twenty-Five.
- Go to Appearance → Editor and click Navigation.
- Select your main menu and click the + button to add an item.
- Choose Custom Link and enter
/docs/. - Change the link text to something readers expect, such as Help or Docs.
- Click Save.

- Go to Appearance → Menus and select the menu you want to edit.
- Open the Custom Links panel on the left.
- Enter your help centre URL in URL and Help in Link Text.
- Click Add to Menu, drag the item into position and click Save Menu.

Not sure which theme type you have?
If Appearance → Editor is in your admin menu, you're using a block theme. If you see Appearance → Menus instead, you're using a classic theme.

Link to a specific knowledge base, category or doc
You can link to any part of your help centre, not just the homepage. Open the knowledge base, category or doc on your site and copy its address from the browser bar. For example:
https://yoursite.com/docs/
https://yoursite.com/docs/installing-and-activating-pinkdocs
