Translating PinkDocs and multilingual sites
Translate the PinkDocs interface into your language and publish docs in more than one language. There are two separate tasks: translating the interface text, and translating your docs.
| What | Examples | How to translate |
|---|---|---|
| Interface text | Search placeholder, Was this helpful?, Previous and Next | A translation plugin, such as Loco Translate |
| Your docs | Doc titles and content, category names | A multilingual plugin, such as WPML or Polylang |
Translate the interface
PinkDocs follows your site language, set in Settings → General → Site Language. To translate or change interface text:
Install Loco Translate
Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Loco Translate, then install and activate it.
Open PinkDocs translations
Go to Loco Translate → Plugins and click PinkDocs.
